Basic skin care routine

The skin starts the ageing process in your early 20’s so it’s important to start a skin care routine from an early age. I am going to tell you the most basic routine you should be doing.

Now, I’m a strict believer in you get what you pay for when it comes to skin care so it’s worth spending that little bit more at the start as you will get more out of it in the long run.

Step 1. Cleansing – Cleansing is important because it’s cleans the skin from dirt and debris that collects during the day. Morning and evening you must do this! I would recommend Resultime Cleansing Milk, perfect for all skin types but choose any brand you wish. Start by spreading the cleanser over the skin massage it deep into the skin. Spend a good few minutes doing this to really clean the skin. Then get a damp cotton pad and wipe over the skin to remove the cleanser. Repeat this process if you want an extra good clean or have a lot of make up on.

Step 2. Toning – After you have rinsed the skin with a damp cotton pad get another damp cotton pad and soak it in toner. Wipe over the skin again with the toner. Always use a cleanser and toner of the same brand they will work better together. Toning is important because it closes the pores back up after opening them by Cleansing.

Step 3. Moisturiser – Now moisturiser there are normally more options as there are many different skin types out there. Choose a moisturiser that suits your skin, if your dry you need a moisturiser that will aid the dryness. Again a good moisturiser is key here as it will be free from perfumes and packed with only what should be in there. So, after toning you can blot the face with a towel or tissue if you wish then apply a small thin layer of moisturiser all over the face and massage in.  Don’t use too much as the skin will only absorb what it needs and you’ll be left with the rest sitting on the top of skin.

I hope this helps. Keep a look out for my next post.
